kaputt

Right now, I'm really into the fashion photography of Lee Oliveira. I just discovered this tumblr, and there is just so much street style inspiration!

In other news, Jason Wu for Target sold out before I got to it. DROWNING IN MY OWN TEARS. I really wanted this dress.

be a body

First blog posts can be awkward like first dates, so I just want to jump right in.

I went through a fairly big Stanley Kubrick phase with Lolita, The Shining, and 2001: A Space Odyssey, and though his films don't grip me quite as much anymore, I still really appreciate this series of photos he took in New York, for Look Magazine in the mid-to-late 1940s:

Betsy Von Furstenberg – 1949

Walking the Streets of New York – 1946

Student at Columbia University – 1948

via twistedsifter, prints are availible at VandM

When I saw The Coat (Hatch Collection by two birds) I had a longing cramp:

In other news, I painted my nails a shade of cheery yellow (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lightening) to combat the cold + snow outside.
